Summary: Daniel and Jack to go to Rehab, when they are both shocked into action after the death of their friend, Cam
Info: This is not quite a SANCTUARY crossover, but I suppose it has the potential to be one, if the reader wants to imagine it as such
"If I had been brave enough, Danny, much earlier... None of this would ever have happened..." Jack opened up through those damned unexpected tears. "None of it. My son wouldn't have killed himself with my gun, my comrades wouldn't have died under my command. My wife and father in law's lives wouldn't have been ripped apart by Charlie's death... If I had come out years ago, lived the life, they would be living pain free lives..." Jack reasoned.
"Charlie wouldn't have existed at all..." Daniel kissed Jack's forehead, as he sat with him on the floor.
"He might have preferred that, knowing how much pain he was going to be in at the end, that came too soon..." Jack spoke.
Daniel kissed Jack, and held him close. "None of what you, or your family, have been through is your fault..."
Jack held on to Daniel.
Daniel sat with Jack, and used the time to think, as well as hold dearly to the man he had quickly fallen in love with...
"Why didn't it happen to me?" Jack asked, ashamed at himself for being weak enough to cry, to even ask this... "It never happens to me, just the people I love..." Jack stated.
"It's not your fault, what happened at the Club, Jack..." Daniel looked into Jack's warm eyes as he spoke to him. "But look, you and I have something to live for now, don't we?" Daniel braved. "Each other..?"
Jack reached up, cupped Daniel's face, and kissed it. "Yes." He whispered afterward, fresh tears in his eyes.
"We need to sort ourselves and our lives out, Jack..." Daniel told him. "What if I was to use my Mom and Dad's money to get us both into a Rehab facility..? No more hard partying and pill highs of a weekend, or ever... No more taking the risks that our friend took and died for."
"Okay..." Jack said, tiredly hugging Daniel.

"Why did I let you talk me into coming here with you??" Jack fumed, talking to Daniel in his room at the Rehab Centre. "It was all a mistake!"
"It wasn't, Jack! Please! We made each other a promise!!" Daniel pleaded with his lover, whom he'd met at the Gay Club, where they'd both nearly ruined their lives, and their friend had died, because of Recreational drugs...
Doctor Janet Frasier opened the door to Daniel's quarters. "Will you two stop this row!??" She shouted. "Just stop it! I stuck my neck out taking you both into the same Drug Rehab program! If you keep going with these lovers tiffs, you'll get us all into trouble!!"
Doctor Carolyn Lam stood by Janet Frasier's side. "Do you really want to quit the program, Jack, end up dead like Cam, in the night club??"
"If I did, I could go and see Charlie!" Jack yelled, before he realised the truth was out.
Tears fought their way out of Daniel's eyes, too. "I'm sorry, Jack..." He said.
Jack looked at him. "I know... I just... I'm sorry."
"Does this mean you'll stay here, Jack?" Dr Frasier asked.
"Yeah..." Jack said, worn out

"Are we doing the right thing?" Janet asked her partner, as they sat at home. "Or are we just being stupid saps because we identify with them, at least, for being gay..? And O'Neill having been in the Military at one time, dealing with that shit in a time before they supposedly changed their attitudes about the likes of us!"
"There are no other spaces in any other programs out there... Are you really ready to throw Jack out of the Centre if he doesn't want to go..?" Carolyn asked, as she lay in bed with Janet, whom she'd first met at the Military Hospital where they used to work...
"No. I'm not." Janet sighed. "Well, I hope they don't have any arguments for Helen and Murray to deal with tonight..." Janet spoke of their colleagues, Dr Helen Magnus, and Dr Murray Thomas, who were on Night Duty at the Centre right now. "We should give them a chance. That's our job!" Janet furthered, as she settled into Carolyn's arms...

"I'm sorry..." Jack said, soon after he had snuck into Daniel's room in the Rehab place.
"I understand, Jack. I promise you. I have people I miss, too. You know that's how I ended up here..." Daniel confided.
Jack took Daniel carefully into his waiting arms. "I know... I'm so sorry; for that fact, and for earlier." He explained.
As Jack sat down on Daniel's bed, Daniel straddled him, and whispered, so close to him, "Thank you..."
"What if the duo of Magnus and Murray find us?" Jack whispered back, as Daniel touched him.
"We'll be quick!" Daniel promised.
Jack jolted, and moved forward, as Daniel spun on his lap, now presenting Jack with his back, and underwear that was definitely pulled down in all the right places... He knew where this would end, if they didn't get caught; on this bed, or against the wall next to it, in the shadows... "I think we will!" He joked because of his body's absolute reaction. "I love you..." He murmured to Daniel. "I really do..." He swore to him truthfully.
"I know..." Daniel smiled, as he felt Jack's beginnings, so near. "I love you, too..." He answered him honestly.
The End
