Our First Morning Together

I'm laying in bed with my friend, and now, my lover, Daniel Jackson... My first morning in bed with Daniel. I pray there are loads more!

It was Vala who saved my life and helped me sober up this time; without her, I would never have got him. Not ever! If there were any flowers out there in the snow, I'd send them to her. That's another reason Daniel likes the snow; no flowers, no hayfever.

When I first met Daniel, he was the bartender at the new bar I'd begun to frequent, perhaps, because of him... Over the months, we found out we shared a love of sport, especially winter sports, and most especially skiing. As time wore on, Daniel realised that drink was a problem with me, and, God Bless Him, he helped me sober up so that I could keep my job at the car factory. He told me that this life was not what either of us wanted, around the bar all day, and he helped me. So, when I could, I got him a job at the car factory with me.

From my reviewing reverie, I am woken.

"I knew I didn't just ask you to Colorado with me to return the favour!" He smiles at me as we lay together.

"Good!" I brush his fringe from his eyes. "But I know one favour you could return!"

"We might as well make use of our day off!"He whispers into my ear, so hot, so close, then, he disappears beneath the faux fur double blanket that isn't the only provider of heat keeping us both so warm!
