Summary: In an AU where The SGC and The Sanctuary know of each other's existence, at least their personnel manage to live together side by side happily! Janet and Helen are a couple!
Sam's cousin, Helen, met with the SGC when Cassie needed her help after the incident with Nirrti.
From there, despite their Networks and Government Departments sharing a healthy wariness, as well as an equal respect,in regards to each other, Doctors Helen Magnus and Janet Frasier kept in touch, and began a relationship.
Helen looked like, Sam, yes. But that wasn't why Janet fell for her, though she often wondered if Sam were weirded out by it all. And she sometimes felt guilty because she felt as though she had taken enough from Sam... Sam had, in effect, given her Cassie to raise as her own, and, some years later, Janet had taken from her best friend's family again somehow, by falling in love with her cousin.
When they had first got together, Helen asked Janet if she had feelings for Sam, or if she would have, were Sam not in the Military..?
"I know it might seem that way, and that this is odd for everyone, but all I know is, I DO love you..." Janet told her, and held her close.
That was the beginning of their relationship, one that reluctantly nearly ended when Helen's daughter Ashleigh became M.I.A, eventually presumed dead...

"I get why you're worried – But don't take my family away." Cassie said as she, her Mom, Janet, and Janet Frasier's partner, Helen, as they sat in Helen's drawing room... "I know why you're doing all this after what happened to Ashleigh..." Cassie turned to Helen then. "But the bad guys are out there whatever, whether they might come for me though the Stargate, or from the depths of this place, what does it matter? They might still do it!"
"But that's the point!" Helen said sadly.
"But it isn't!" Cassie implored. "Out there!" She pointed out the window. "Out there, I am alone! I've been alone before! I've lost a family before!!"
"I'm sorry!" Helen shed tears as she spoke.
"The civilians out there..." Cassie looked out of the window again, and spoke like she had heard Jack speak, the man who was like a father to her. "If something happens, if something gets past us all, and slips out onto the street, or through the clouds, or wherever the Hell, whichever Hell it comes from, they're alone!! I'm not, if I'm with you... We're not alone, Mom and me, if you don't split this family up!"
Helen embraced the young woman who had become her second daughter. "You'll always have a home here..." She told her.

"Thank you..." Janet climbed into the four poster bed she and Helen shared whenever Janet could get away from the SGC.
"You have nothing to thank me for at all..." Helen shifted in the bed, the chocolate brown silk of her night gown shifting with her, as she stretched to touch Janet's face, and to look into those truly amazing brown eyes. "Cassie was right..." Helen put her arm around Janet. "I can't break up this family!" She kissed Janet. "I don't want to! I love you..."
Janet moved in Helen's arms, straddling her and kissing her back. "And I you..." She whispered, close to her lovers lips, before she dipped to kiss Helen Magnus' throat first of all, trailing her kisses down the woman's body gratefully, wanting to reassure the woman she so loved...
