Summary: The SGC is the meeting place for many m/m couples, who are all victims of the same alien experiment
Info: This story is not really a crossover; It simply borrows some characters from other shows
Daniel sat in the improvised, larger Infirmary space. He could not believe this. Could not. It was like a sci fi movie. He's whole life was actually, but this was even more so...
They had traced everyone, asked them all to the warehouse. He had been wearing his diplomatic hat all day... But now, as one of the patients, as one of the... He sat, and had too much time to think. But he couldn't move. He was sleepy, but he couldn't not sleep. So, he lay thinking about how it had all begun; him and Jack...
***
It was movie night. Janet and Sam were on one sofa, a bucket of sweet popcorn between them, and Jack and Daniel were on the other sofa, with the salty popcorn.
"I dare you to watch the film! They can't throw you out of the air force for just watching a film!" Janet said.
"You know it doesn't say you can't," Sam paused to kiss Janet, "Just that you can't say you did!"
Jack smiled at his friends.
Daniel watched the smile.
Jack looked at Daniel for a fraction of a second, then sighed, almost imperceptibly. He turned to Sam and Janet. "OK, OK, we'll watch the movie, won't we?" He turned back to Daniel.
***
Daniel lay in the Infirmary bed remembering that he was in a dream world almost from the minute the movie, Brokeback Mountain, started. It was a set up. A total set up. Janet and Sam left the room at some point, Daniel wasn't sure when.
The heat that passed between him and Jack that night. Daniel still felt it now. All the places it had burned. He remembered seeing flashes, fantasy moments of himself and Jack in the sex scenes that were in the film, and when he looked at Jack in those moments, he was sure Jack could see those fantasy scenes too! Daniel remembered how Jack's hands were shaking when they nudged his hands as both men dipped into the popcorn. A rare show of the vulnerability Daniel always knew was there... Tears flowed down his face as silently as he sometimes knew Jack cried, as Daniel laid there, remembering the touches, the noises of love they'd made that night, and did so without caring or embarrassment because they were possessed and knew Sam and Janet would keep their secret for them... How the hell would they keep their new secret? He hadn't even had time to truly think about what all of this might mean. They had been assured that there was no threat But Daniel knew that didn't mean they weren't being watched, to make sure of that fact.
When the SGC had traced everyone, they had access to the Computer will all the info in. Sam and fellow physicist slash computer genius Rodney McKay, himself one of the 'chosen few', and his partner being Doctor Carson Beckett, had worked on it tirelessly. The whole experiment had been done just to prove it could be, because those Bastards weren't allowed to risk the people on their own planet! Now that it had been done, they didn't want the resulting children, or their parents, thank God..! They were simply satisfied to know it could be done safely, and they would use it on their own planet, if need be. Simple as that! Simple for everyone, but they people they left behind, in the state they'd left them, here in this warehouse-like Infirmary now...
Daniel remembered bits of conversations he'd heard, or had with the other patients here all day...

"I don't even have to ask a penny for them..." Ianto woke up, rolled onto his side, and sat looking at Jack Harkness, his partner, sitting at his bedside.
"I can't get him out of my mind..." Jack covered his eyes. "Stephen..." He mentioned his grandson's name.
"All of this," Ianto noted the room, another top-secret installation, it seemed, a portal to a whole other bunch of worlds and aliens than the ones they knew about. "And all of this," he looked down at his own pregnant stomach, beginning to show those early signs meant for his opposite gender, and knowing Rhiannon would never get over it, "is bringing it all back, I know..."
"I was so grateful when I didn't lose you..." Jack held Ianto's hand. "Was I too glib about using my own grandson, too easily talked into it, to save the whole world, to save all those children besides him, everyone but him... I was selfish! I wanted absolution for what happened to Clem's friends. Now, I can never have absolution. I don't deserve it!!"
"You and I are having a baby, Jack, God willing that all is well... This baby will be a reality, and I trust you with him or her. It wasn't all your fault. It was circumstances that no one else could deal with..." Ianto stated honestly.
"I can't deal with them either... I couldn't. I didn't. Not the right way!" Jack was worn out as he spoke.
"The baby and I... We'll try and help you!" Ianto promised.
***
Daniel hadn't been able to help overhearing that conversation. Ianto and Jack were the ones who reminded Daniel most of himself and Jack. Mostly for the obvious, undeniable reasons...

"I know this is weird, Gene!" Sam, as in Samuel, Tyler shouted across the room, not caring who heard him.
"I told you! I told you, didn't I, Sam!? Eh??" Gene yelled back. "That if we did the old Locomotion, something like this would happen!"
"Oh, for Chrissake, Gene! No one on this planet could have predicted this!!" Sam stated.
"No one on this planet, maybe!" Gene said defiantly."Or maybe this bunch of literally fannying scientists did something to make you pregnant His body posture was a contradiction as he slumped down the wall by which he stood. "What the fuck am I saying?? All of sudden, I believe in all this crap!"
"You'd better start, Gene, 'cos we have a baby on the way!" Sam knelt down before Gene, wondering absentmindedly just how much longer he would be able to do this, crouching, for.
Gene took a swig from his hipflask. "You're not having any of this!" He talked about the whiskey. "You're having our baby!"
Sam sat beside Gene, leaning on the wall. He almost said, "Thanks for reminding me!" because he couldn't get his mind around this, and he had got his mind round a LOT, but he knew it would sound wrong, and bizarrely, he didn't mean it badly...

"I never thought me saving your life would result in this!" Tom joked, as his lover Chakotay helped sit on his Infirmary bed more comfortably.
"You're still mine..." Chakotay loyally promised him. "And whatever happens, I won't let you fall either!"
Tom caught sight of Chakotay's deep brown eyes as he looked up at him. "We'll be okay, won't we, all of us??"
"I believe we will..." Chakotay smiled, knowing that he would be meditating on it later, praying, trying to speak with his father.

"Hey..." Jack O'Neill said, drawing back the curtain around Daniel's bed just enough to come sit with Daniel.
"Hey..." Daniel replied quietly.
Jack sat on one side of Daniel's bed, and rubbed his back. "Crap day, huh?" He asked.
"A bit." Daniel admitted.
Neither of them needed to say how overwhelming this whole thing was. The whole room knew it.
Jack lay down curled around Daniel's pregnant form, still stroking his back as they spooned together. They held on to each other, and to this moment.
Jack didn't care about the Security Cameras and The Regs anymore. Not that he ever had much, not enough to stop him from loving Daniel, especially when Daniel needed him... And, Lord knows, Daniel needed him... He knew that. He knew that as surely as the night they finally admitted and started to act upon their love. That movie night; That night when Janet and Sam knew exactly what they were doing... And they probably did, because Jack could remember guttural sounds of energy, of effort, orgasmic effort and joy... Joy, such joy because he was joined with Daniel... It felt as good as he had undeniably dreamed! And it was that heat, their love that, admittedly, with some alien help, had created their baby... There was so much to deal with. Not just the baby, but everything that surrounded how their child had been conceived. They would deal with it though; they had to, for their child's sake! As Jack drifted to sleep beside Daniel, he thought of all the other fathers in this room, the ones who had provided the sperm, not the home, the false womb, in which their babies now grew. None of them knew what to say or do either...

"H!" Timothy Speedle panicked. "How can I be this kid's mother! You've seen me naked! Do I look like a woman!? I've got more body hair than you!!"
Horatio Caine smiled patiently. "I know!" He said gently. He was working so hard to maintain his usual calm, but his compassion was working overtime. His love, Tim 'Speed' Speedle, pregnant. Neither of them could believe it! Their world was crazy enough! But this, to find out sci fi was real... He doubted either of them would ever get back to the 'normal' life of crime solving again... Not that he felt like anyone was a Prisoner here. But how could anyone touched by this bizarre turn of events ever be normal, or normal again... It so worried him. He badly wanted a family. Always had done. His own upbringing had been traumatic enough, and he'd failed his brother, Ray. He wanted so much to get things right this time! But would he be allowed to? He prayed so...
***
Daniel kept looking at the list he'd got hold of, praying that all would go well for everyone, every couple, and baby, on it. It was a list of all the men whom he'd shared the Infirmary with, in some capacity, over the months, and their babies, born happy and healthy, and free, he hoped, free on their Governments breathing down their necks forever. In a world where a woman had a sex change to be a man, but it wasn't completed before 'she' had time to have a baby, Daniel hoped that, somehow, the rest of the world would believe that he and all the other 'mother' fathers were just cases like that... And he hoped that their babies would be enough to compensate them all for everything they'd been put through... He also hoped that each of their partners would be like Jack, and stay with them for the rest of their lives, in their new families...
"Hi!" Jack grinned, as he walked into the Infirmary.
Daniel looked up, and put the list on his bedside table.
"Ready to go home??" Jack asked.
"You mean this isn't it??" Daniel partly joked.
"You should see the paint job I've done on their room!" Jack beamed, looking at each of his children, one in a crib each side of Daniel's bed.
"I will!" Daniel smiled. "So will they! They've been looking around more today..."
"Thinking when will we get out of here, probably!" Jack went over to each of his newborn babies. "Today, sweethearts, right now!" He promised.
So, like each couple had before them, Jack and Daniel now got to take home their children. Not everyone had had multiple births, but they had; their twins, one boy, one girl, Wilfred Nikolai Jackson (after Daniel's grandfather, through his surname and now was a good time to mention the meaning of Daniel's surname, since it was now more than a coincidence, Jack's Son - and Nick Ballard, his maternal Grandfather) O'Neill (or Will/Wilf as he would likely become known!) and Zerlinda Claire Enya O'Neill (Claire and Enya after Daniel's Mom, and Jack's Paternal Grandmother) ...
The End
* Just in case people are interested, here are the couples who were having children, and here are those children's names. The story is not a crossover as I have mostly just borrowed characters and hinted at certain, similar at least, elements in their lives....
Horatio Caine/Timothy Speedle Tim has a baby girl, Alanis Colleen Caine
Gene Hunt/Sam Tyler (the UK version characters Sam has baby Eileen Jodee Hunt
Chakotay/Tom Paris Tom has baby girls, Nallely Faith Paris (Nallely, a form of Nayelli, is Native American, and means 'I Love You') and Cheyenne Kathryn Paris (named after where she was born, in Cheyenne Mountain, and Kathryn Janeway, unmentioned in the story!)
Mike Celluci/Henry Fitzroy (of Blood Ties, though Henry isn't a Vampire in my story Though he might be secretly immortal!) Henry has a son, Albert Michael Fitzroy
Jeffrey Sinclair/Michael Garibaldi Garibaldi has a son, Jovani Eric Francesco Sinclair-Garibaldi
Steve Sloan/Jesse Travis Jesse gives birth to their son and daughter, Markus Jameson Sloan and Catherine Carol Sloan
Talemachus Rhade/Seamus Harper Harper bears their child, Iollan (young, fair warrior is the meaning of his name, appealing to Niezschien born Rhade, though it's not mentioned in the story!) Harper Rhade
Drs Carson Beckett/Rodney McKay Carson is usually the one having the baby in my McBeckett Mpreg fics, but I thought I'd swap it this time Rodney gives birth to Isla Elizabeth Jean McBeckett!
Gil Grissom/Greg Chambers Greg has their son, Daniel Gilbert Grissom. Whether they named the baby after Daniel, or a relative of one of them, is up to the reader!
Tony DiNozzo/Timothy McGee Leroy Jethro DiNozzo -McGee/Donald McCallum DiNozzo-McGee
Teal'c/Cam Mitchell Cam is the one who gives birth to a son, Alex Teejay Mitchell
Jack Harkness/Ianto Jones Ianto gives Jack a son Ioseph Jack Harkness (Ioseph, apparently means 'God will add another son', so I thought it appropriate, because of what I mention in the story)....
Duncan McLeod/Adam Pierson (Methos) - Methos has b/g twins; Tavish Joseph Richie McLeod/Alyson Thomasina McLeod
