Summary: Jack and Daniel are in Miami, and will be spending the weekend with friends, Horatio and Eric, and Sam Axe and Michael Westen
Info: Inspired by the Season 8 opener of CSI Miami

Jack laid next to Daniel in their Miami Hotel Room. They didn't often stay places like this, but Jack thought Daniel could do with the luxury for a few days, before they stayed the weekend with friends Horatio and Eric. The room was like the sheets on which they lay, all gentle ivory coloured satin. In the sunlight, the setting sunlight, which shone in from the balcony, watching Daniel sleep in these luxurious surroundings was doubly beautiful...

The last time Jack had spoken with Horatio, it was to do with a case that Horatio's son, Kyle, had brought to his father's attention – a military matter that Horatio wanted some advice on...... Not that Horatio had asked Jack to put his reputation on the line again, as he had when he recently resigned so that he could marry Daniel...

***

Horatio looked to Eric. He was still shocked that he and Eric were now, at last, together. He had never yet managed to keep hold of, and keep entirely safe, the people he loved... Marisol, Eric, his family (and now, his son, Kyle, was far away...)... Horatio gently caressed Eric's stirring face with his thumb, and as Eric awoke, he kissed him, bending to his lips... "Hi..." He said gently.

Eric smiled. "Hi."

They kissed again, and only temporarily broke apart...

"Dinner's ready..." Horatio noted.

"Thank you..." Eric mused sleepily.

"Tomorrow, you can cook for me!" Horatio joked.

"Will do!" Eric promised, standing up from the bed, and feeling Horatio touch his arched back...

***

"Did you enjoy that?!" Jack asked Daniel.

"Dinner in bed, or the dessert you treated me to?" Daniel grinned.

Jack kissed Daniel again... It wasn't the last time he'd do that tonight.

"Fancy a shower together" Daniel suggested.

"Yeah-sure-you-betcha!" Jack answered as he knew Daniel knew he would!

Daniel extricated himself from the bed, taking Jack by the hand, and pulling him toward the bathroom.

A shower wasn't a bad idea. Jack could feel himself seeping in his CK's already...Daniel's naked butt and lithe back turned to him as it was while they walked into the shower-room... He knew this shower was going to be fun!

Horatio wanted to marry Eric Delko... He always thought about it, dreamed that it would be possible, that it would be okay... But he and Eric both still had guilt issues that it might be unfair to Marisol, Horatio's wife and Eric's sister... Horatio knew that he and Eric loved each other enough to marry, of that he had no doubt, and he knew Eric had no doubt of it either – But both men knew that their love for one another pre-existed H's marriage to Marisol Delko; he had loved Marisol truly, never thought of her as a substitute for Eric, not even subconsciously, as far as he could fathom – But his marriage to Marisol had been at a point where he was trying to get beyond his love for Eric. He thought he could never have him, and he knew he had to carry on... It just happened to be that the person he fell for enough to help him do that, was the sister of the man he'd loved for so many years... H wanted the freedom to marry the man he loved, and he feared that freedom, that simplicity, would never be his. He wanted to be married, like Jack and Daniel were married... He knew that not all his gay friends were married to their partners; Michael Weston and Sam Axe were not married. Mind you, that could be because Sam still had not managed to track down the woman he married in the seventies, on a drunken whim, one the woman in question/his wife shared at the time, and divorce her... Sam had never been that bothered about it. He told Horatio once that he only considered it more now because he and Michael had finally sorted out their feelings and got together! H knew them, and knew it wasn't like they talked about it much, but Michael and Sam, who would be coming to dinner this weekend, when their mutual friends Jack and Daniel were here, seemed at peace with things being just the way they were. They were both quite independent souls.

Horatio couldn't help but wonder if it would have been any easier if he and Eric had fallen in love after Marisol's death, but he knew that, in some form, they had loved each other before then, too – Though the love had been different during the time that he was Marisol's husband. He had never been unfaithful to Marisol, not even in his mind...

Horatio often wondered about the other man he'd come to love in his life – Tim Speedle. He would forever feel awful for Speed. It was so unfair to the man that he'd had his life taken away when he was just getting it the way he wanted it. It was unfair full stop! H was afraid that history would repeat itself, so afraid, and angry with himself that he didn't have the strength to carry on alone, for the sake of those he loved... He loved every minute of life with Eric, but felt hideously selfish for it.

Eric had said to him once, while drunk, that he could deal with the occasional pangs of guilt or pondering what his sister would think of them being together, if he could think of himself as H's substitute for Marisol, and not possibly, the other way around – though Eric had added that he truly believed H had been in love with Marisol, it was just that now and then, it was like someone was playing devil's advocate in his ear. H could so very much sympathise with that – When all he wanted was to enjoy the peace that Eric, and being with him, otherwise gave him... He thought he knew that Marisol would give them her blessing, that it wasn't just him hoping that would be the case, but he just wished he could ask her, for Eric's sake and his.

In the next moment, H could hear Eric's voice...

"H... H!!" He called.

Horatio could feel the nearness all around him.

"Man, I love you so much..." Eric murmured.

"Me you, too, Eric. Me you, too! I love you!" H fairly purred in Eric's ear. He meant every word, and every sentiment, all the love in the world for Eric Delko, and as he came inside him, he kept overwhelmed tears of both relief and emotional outpouring silent, and hoped that Eric would not turn around and see him crying, crying for so many reasons – Chief among those was love...

The End
