Summary: Sam and Janet are out shopping, heading to meet the father of their babies when they bump into Janet's nosy ex husband

"Uh-oh!" Janet exclaimed, as she and Sam walked down the street.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked, suddenly worried.

Janet discreetly pointed to a man in the crowd. "Recognise him from the one or two photos still in existence??" She asked quietly.

"Ah!" Sam said, as she looked. "Your ex..." She meant Janet's ex husband. "Will you be okay..?"

"Yeah!" Janet assured her. "It's just, he always was a nosy individual!"

"Ah, I see... And when he sees the two of us almost identically pregnant..?" Sam caught Janet's drift.

"He's seen me!" Janet warned... And the next minute she knew, her smiling ex husband was right before her.

"Hello, Janet." He said.

"Hi, Edward..!" Janet managed a smile.

"Getting some things ready for the nurseries are you both?" Edward asked politely.

"We may do. But actually, we were planning on a big shopping trip after each of them is born, to get most of what we'll need. Friends said they'd come along!" Janet informed her ex.

"Ah, well, it's good to see you out with friends, Jan..." He replied. "Where's the father?"

"We'll be meeting up with him soon." Janet answered.

"Ah, so you've left the boys in a bar somewhere have you, girls?" Edward grinned.

"Murray," Janet began,

"And T, yes..." Sam interjected.

Janet flashed her a smile. "Well, it was nice to see you, Edward..." Janet smiled again, though not the way she had at Sam.

"Thanks, you, too..." Edward stated, smiling at both the women.

Janet said a quick, curt "Goodbye..." And then, she and Sam moved on, beyond Edward Price. When he was out of earshot, Janet couldn't help but giggle.

Sam hadn't known what reaction to expect, but she knew what Janet was laughing at. "He hasn't got a clue, has he?!" She asked.

"Nope!" Janet grinned. "I doubt he would, even if he sees us later, with just the one man carrying our shopping bags!"

"Ah, well, "Sam mused playfully, "At least that one man's a Jaffa Warrior!"

Both women laughed.

"C'mon!" Janet said, "We'll better get to that restaurant quick; You know what Teal'c's like for punctuality!"

"Yeah!" Sam replied. "I just hope his babies are every bit as punctual!"
