Summary: Janet and Sam bravely make a decision, while Daniel bravely deals with his emotions
Jack was very possessive of his kids; hardly let them out of his sight. He knew it wasn't surprising, after what had happened to Charlie... But while everyone was at the 'garden party' being held to celebrate the Christening of his and Daniel's twins, Wilfred and Zerlinda (their naming was partly to be blamed on Daniel's parents being world travelling hippies, whose son took after them undoubtedly, and still partly to be blamed on the children's parents being Universe Travelling ageing hippies themselves!) he asked the children's Godparents, Sam and Janet, who had inspired Jack and Daniel to be brave enough to get together in the first place, to be in charge of taking care of 'baby Fred' and 'little Linda' as they had come to be known. Wilfred was occasionally called Wil or Wilf, but mostly, he was Fred, after Jack's uncle, Fred... And Zerlinda became 'Linda', then 'little Linda' due to her brother, at least for now, being known as 'baby Fred'. Jack smiled wryly. If, please God, Fred grew older, much older than his half brother had, the 'baby' bit of his nickname would quickly be dropped at some point!
"I need to have a word with Daniel..." Jack stated truthfully.
"Is he ok?" Janet asked, her Doctor-self coming to the fore, picking up on her friend's slightly 'under the weather' state, and the fact that he had, some moments before, headed back to the cabin.
"I hope he will be..." Jack mentioned, meeting Janet's eye, then Sam's, as he bent to kiss his children's foreheads, before going to find their other father...

Janet and Sam sat under the shade of a tree, cradling one each of their Godchildren.
As they did so, they looked across the lawn at Cassandra, Janet's adopted daughter.
Sam spoke up from somewhere, "Do you ever think of giving another child?"
After a heartbeat, Janet responded truthfully. "All the time..." She said so wistfully.
"We've left it too late, haven't we?" Sam asked sadly.
"I don't know..." Janet mused. "Not always..."
"Is it responsible??" Sam asked. "I mean, I know I'm just a physicist now, and you left the Air-force, and got rehired just as a Doctor, but we both know the so called rules, and we still know what's out there...; bringing a child into all that?"
"But with us..." Janet began. "They'd be safer, wouldn't they?"
"We could probably protect them more, knowing what's going on in the Universe, like we do..." Sam hypothetically mused. She knew, and liked, Janet's thinking; they could both try and get pregnant by Teal'c...
"Who would we get to be the father?" Janet posed.
"Teal'c?" Sam questioned, considering that maybe, he would like another chance at fatherhood...
Janet laughed, and Sam laughed with her, but in truth, they both liked the idea...

Jack slipped off his chinos, and got into his oldest, comfiest pair of faded blue denim jeans. Then, he found, and wore, his white cotton T shirt, and he padded across to the bed, and where Daniel sat, in tears, on the bed...
"I am happy!" Daniel said again. "I am!" He meant it, as he looked at Jack, and he meant it whenever he said it. He was not trying to convince himself.
Jack put his arm around Daniel's shoulder, and let Daniel rest on him.
"I love our children, Jack..." Daniel stated.
"I know!" Jack quickly, gently assured him.
"It's just... I wasn't born to have them!" Daniel replied.
"You went through more than I can put into words, Daniel, and you still are going through it..." Jack said sympathetically.
"Do Sam and Janet have the children with them?" Daniel asked.
"Yep, they do!" Jack assured Daniel, and himself, again..."Teal'c is close by, too!"
"So, we're ok??" Daniel questioned.
Jack nodded, as Daniel turned to him.
"Make love to me, Jack..?" Daniel requested.
That was why Jack had put on the clothes he now wore. He knew that they were Daniel's favourites, and he knew Daniel might need this... "Of course..." Jack smiled, and he helped Daniel to lay down comfortably.
"We're not being selfish, are we? I'm not?" Daniel asked.
"We won't leave the babies long, and they are with the only other people we trust to take care of them..." Jack reminded Daniel, while praying that they weren't actually, or he wasn't anyway, being selfish.
"I know..." Daniel smiled, and relaxed a little.

"This is mad!" Sam said, getting almost giddy and excited.
"I know!" Janet said. "We can't really go ahead with it, can we??"
"I want to, so much!" Sam admitted.
"Me, too!!" Janet confided in her partner, love, and lover; the trinity of Samantha Carter...
"What would Teal'c say?" Sam looked over her shoulder, and smiled at Teal'c, who stood eating a burger.
"Heaven knows!" Janet replied. "He might say yes... We'd only be asking him for a cup or two full..!!!"
"What if he didn't want to donate that way..??" Sam considered.
"Sam!" Janet admonished playfully. "I know Teal'c is a man, but I also know that he is a gentleman... We can trust that, can't we?"
Sam quickly looked at Teal'c again. "Yes!" She said emphatically, when she turned back to Janet.
They sat in disbelieving but companionable silence for a moment, until, behind them, a voice asked them a question...
"Is there something that you wanted, ladies..?" A certain Jaffa asked.
Sam and Janet turned in their seats, still carefully cradling their miraculously sleeping Godson and God-daughter. "Well, actually..." Each woman said, in unison...

Jack kissed Daniel sweetly, as they both dressed again, and Daniel was still sitting on the edge of their bed. "Love you..." He told Daniel again.
"Love you..." Daniel smiled.
His eyes were still a little sad, but Jack felt better about him for the moment... "Shall we go into the garden..?" Jack helped Daniel up from the bed, and held his hand.
"Let's get back to our son and daughter!" Daniel beamed at the thought of them.
"Let's!" Jack agreed, smiling back at dear Daniel, and beginning to lead him back, attended, to the outside world...
