Summary: There's a party going on at one of Helen and Janet's houses - Nearly everyone from the SGC is there!! Many couples and their friends and families..!
Info: In this fic, Diana Skouris' from 4400's adopted daughter is called Miranda NOT Maia - I have my own reasons for not liking that name - So, though she is the same person, she has a different name - After all, it is an AU! She also comes from the same planet as Cassie
Sam Hanna rubbed G's back discreetly, as they stood in one of Helen Magnus and Janet Frasier's houses. The conversation had turned to how they'd chosen their son's name. The child had five names, chosen by each of his five parents; G didn't even have one name, not really...
Someone here who also knew the importance of a name was Aidenne Byrne. Her name had been changed twice Her parents had changed their surname's spelling to reflect their Irish heritage properly, and Aidenne herself had changed the spelling of her given name because, although she could quite be a tomboy from time to time, she had eventually got sick of people seeing her name, and expecting her to be male Like Aiden Ford, who was at this party with his friend, Dominic Vail... Aidenne had arrived with Stella Bonasera, and they got to the party at the same time as their pal, Fiona Glennanne, who hitched a ride from her friends, Michael Westen and Sam Axe.
Helen and Janet had invited every one of their friends, who wasn't on duty at the SGC, for a meal.
T.B.G and Henry Foss were there from The Sanctuary, Helen's other house... Her daughter Ashley and Cassie, Janet's daughter, were here, too.
Dr Kristen Westphalen was here, with her colleagues, the twin brothers each, of Rodney McKay and Dr Carson Beckett, i.e Roderick McKay and Colin Beckett. John, Rodney, their baby daughter, Jemma, and their friend, Carson Beckett, were there, too As was Anthony-Michael Picolo Kristen and her team often crossed paths with Tony Picolo as part of their work, so he turned up with them today...
Tom Baldwin had also just turned up, with colleague Diana Skouris, and her adopted daughter, Miranda, in toe... (Miranda was not one of the new children born; she was, along with Cassie, the only other survivor of their planet. They were neighbours as children; Cassie and Ashley were like big sisters or cousins to Miranda...
Jim and Daniel were here with the twins; talking with Sam, her fiancι, Jonas Quinn, and their mutual friends Cam, and Vala. Each couple, like Jim and Daniel, had brought their children with them to Helen and Janet's place - Callum Kurtis Quinn and Kameryn-Jess Mal Duran Mitchell... Kameryn-J was partly named after Sam's, and in turn, Helen's Aunt, Jessica Fletcher, who was at the SGC the day KJ was born, (when she was brought back to the SGC from where she and the other then unborn children had been found) and settled a squabble between Vala and Cam as to whose surname would come first in the order of their daughter's name. She had suggested Kameryn as a fore-name, and then, putting Mal Duran before Mitchell would not dent Cam's pride so..! The first Jess, Jess Fletcher, was here somewhere...
Jessica Fletcher was helping herself to some food from the buffet, while chatting to Doctor Mark Sloan, his son Doctor Steve Sloan, and another kind-of namesake, Doctor Jesse Travis... Behind them, Teal'c, his wife, Drey'auc, and their son, Rya'c, (who like Cassie and Miranda had spent the greatest percentage of his life here on Tauri/Planet Earth) were also enjoying the food on offer..!
Hetty, from Sam and G's SG-team was quite brilliantly singing a song with Mal Reynolds and Juddson Cobb, without the aid of either alcohol or a karaoke machine..! Yes, the party was going well, thankfully!
Danny Messer and Adam Ross were chatting with the army mechanic team, about some down-time project they were collaborating on, for the fun of it Gene Hunt was busily and robustly gesturing about some part of the plan or other to everyone gathered around him!
It was a full house today, without question Whether the colleagues, families and friends were at the SGC, or, for once, in their homes, that was usually always the truth and, this was only the dress rehearsal for the party after baby Wilfred Murray Frasier Gregory Magnus' (five names; five parents! Helen got to choose two as she carried their son to term Gregory, and the keeping of her family name, Magnus Teal'c got to choose a name, - as did Janet, after some assurance from Helen, and, miraculously, Jim, Daniel, and Sam, who'd had enough trouble naming their first children, all agreed that Wilfred was a dear name!) Murray was Teal'c's choice as that was a name he'd come to be known by, by his friends!) Christening or Naming Day party, which David Rossi (also at the party, out in the garden with his friends, colleagues, and partner, Aaron Hotchner) would be leading for them... It may be busy now, but the place would be even busier then!!
